I love a good reggae groove. When I was 17 this Rasta guy taught me how to play that feel; a sort of shuffle/straight 8's kind of feel. Over the years and having delved into the 1950's genres of music at one time, I discovered that the old "all shook up" groove is exactly as the Reggae groove. It's like a dotted line to me, whereas a straight-out "triplet" shuffle looks like a scalloped pattern to me and a "straight eight" groove looks like a bunch of squares.
You follow me? good. If you don't, then ask questions.
