I don't own any stick holders, but i can see their huge advantages, and i will look to buy one in the future.

This is great 'cause it the sticks are right there to grab.
I put a few of my favs in there.
I never liked the stick bag on the floor tom cause i'm always afraid that it's affecting the vibration of the shell. LOL sounds neurotic...I know.

Same here! I always had the sneaking suspicion that putting a stick bag on my floor tom made it less resonant. I finally did myself a favor and took the thing off, because it was driving me crazy.

It's one of those things that I've always wanted to buy, but from some reason always forget to throw it into a MF order....

I've got an old Pro-mark for my HH stand that I've had forever. When I play out I'll use that, a stick bag on my floor toms & a couple of sticks on the kick drum. I like options.

I too do the kick drum trick, and the bag off the floortom.

I just don't drop my sticks... hehe
okaaay.... but really. I usually just put a couple of sticks on top of the bass drum.
I've looked at the different stick holders, but nothing ever seems to jump out at me and say BUY ME!
I guess I'll just continue to put a pair of sticks on top of the bass drum for now.
