frustration! my hi-hat stand is wayyy messed up!
There's no fixing this thing. I need to buy a new stand, preferably cheap or used, whatever. Cheap is the main thing right now. Anyone have any idea where I can look? It would be greatly appreciated

Cheap things aren't good, and good things aren't cheap. A good stand will last you a lifetime where as you can go through 100's of dollars worth of cheap stands in that time.

I disagree. Gibraltar makes some cheap stands that will take a beating.

Any suggestions on the Gibraltar ones? I have heard that they're pretty good before, but I've never looked into it since my broken one is my first hi-hat. I'm honestly surprised it lasted as long as it did actually..
