Speed Kings Squeak, Axis is a better pedal... BUT... speed kings FEEL really GREAT!

Very very fast, too...

Too bad they rattle and squeak!

I played one and it didn't squeak and it was the greatest pedal Ive ever played. when I first was looking for a new set I wanted two bass drums with SK's on them.

I wish DW would do a direct drive 5000

There are two kinds of speed kings... the ones that squeak, and the ones that will be squeaking soon.

THEY ALL eventually squeak!

Axis are way better they never squeak but you may want to be carful
when buying pedals on ebay because it may be a older axis pedal
that may have problems that Axis compnay has already fixed and made
it better.

as I stated on another thread, the new speed kings i've tried haven't squeaked one bit. they replaced a metal part with a nylon bushing to eliminate metal-on-metal contact. who knows, maybe in 6 months time they'll be as noisy as all the rest of em.
