I love my drums. I thought I wanted a deeper bass but I listened to them today during my lesson and the bass is deep. It needs some tuning, but I dont really need a 22 inch bass drum. Specially when I have a 20 inch.
I need to get some heads that are all the same. I also need to take the drums apart and clean all the hardware and shine them up a bit.
The cymbals, I like a lot., The splash is fun to play with and ads some of the color I was looking for. I might find another one, brighter in sound-this zildjian is a little dark, but its steal for 20 bucks.
best floor tom I have ever used as well!!!

Nice....don't see many of these kits around anymore. I have a black Rogers R-380 kit that I got new in 85 or so, with double bass (20 & 22" ), snare, and 8, 10, 12, 14, 16" toms. They served me well for years until I recently got a new Yamaha kit, so I think I'm going to sell them. For a mid-level kit (at the time) they sound pretty good.

I actually measuredm y drums today- I wonder if anyone can tell me if these are right? (Diameters)
snare: 14 3/4 inches
Tom1: 12 1/2 inches
Tom2: 13 1/2 inches
Floor Tom: 16 3/4 inches
Are these right or do we round the numbers? I am looking to new heads for the snare, but have no idea if I am really looking for a 14 3/4 in. head size....does any of this make sense?
Thanks for any help, James

nice avatar...
the snare head is 14"
the tom1 is 12"
the tom2 is 13"
and the floor tom is 16"
those are the sizes you need to look for!
when your ready to tune up the new heads may I suggest the DRUM BIBLE, just google it! everything you ever wanted to know about tuning your drum heads!

I have looked into getting that book. I definately need to learn about tuning. I did get them how I like them, and all the tones around the lugs match. And there is no warping or wrinkles any where...I do need to see if my rings are bent or not. Drums are as old as I am. Im a littel warped too...
Ps: thank you. I love star wars. Obviously...
