Well, i got all my heads in today,

12,13,16 G2 and G1
hazy 300 snare
ec reverse dot snare


got them all installed the snare sounds great, the toms don't sound a WHOLE lot different the stock ones, how do i get the sound i want? i want more punchier tom sound and less "george of the jungle", lol, i play rock music and metal music and the sound i'm currently getting doesn't match up i dont think,

help me out please

the g2's aren't really ment for that "punchier" sound,
they're dry and resonate...

i'd try Ec2s, their a little less resonate and have a "built in" muffling system
so they'll be fatter and punchier sound you're looking for

i use the g2s cause i like the extra resonance they give but i use toms rings
cut thinner so they don't muffle as much

i got them tuned decently now, just needed to loosen up the reso heads a little bit and now i got the sound i'm looking for

Punchy comes from having the resonant heads tuned a little higher than the batter heads, actually.

I bought some Evans E-rings for studio and practice use and live but it is way better to keep 'em raw like that for live under guitars and vocals! Great setup of heads, I'd choose that setup too! Good Luck.
