 snare wire problem
when i hit my toms i get an awful rattle from my wire of my snare
it really pisses me off as i have tried a couple of methods but there not working any help please!?

are they loose? try to tighten them. if that dosent help, look at the drum tuning bible that SG posted.

pure sound wires will help a lot in my experience with that problem, they are a little expensive though. I also feel that no snare rattle sounds like dog shit. take the wires off and play your toms and bass and see how you feel about the sound, I really despise it.
Granted if its way to much then by all means try and fix it

one of your toms are tuned to the same frequency as your snare. Retune your snare, toms or both and the rattle will go away

This is a very asked question and as long as you wires are straight (if they are bent there will be a loose spot that is prone to rattle) this is the answer.

Greg bisonette says "live with it" or sumthin like that, on his instructional dvd.
As was said..... Tune your tom to another frequency to your snare, they are in Sympathy. And take a lok at the Bible anyways.

That's pretty much how it is. You can minimise it, but if you have tuned everythig right you'll get some buzz.
