Post Beater felt eating heads.....
I bought a new head a while ago, and after playing for a while, i noticed dust building up around my beater heads, it only took me a minute to realize that the head was eating these beaters.... its an aquarian super kick 3 coated head, and its like sandpaper to felt, and the felt was deteriorated a matter of a good 2 weeks.. I got new beaters now, and a smooth kick pad over where the beaters hit so i dont have the problem again.
anyone else have this problem before with any head?

I've never used a coated kick batter.

yeah with evans fabric slam pads they do that its no big deal though it takes for ever to wear them out.

It's natural for that to happen. Don't worry yourself. P.O.Y!

I've had that happen to my iron cobra felt beaters with the evans fabric patch...nothing I worry about because it's a slow deterioration and beaters are replaceable.
