 Here's the deal..
Ok I have coated emperors on my Classic Maples and I'm just not getting the sound I want... I want just a little less ring but not too much... What would you suggest?? By the way I have clear ambassadors as resonants..

Aquarian Performance II's.
Or you could try coated reso's.

That's exactly it.. I try a moongel on it and theres no ring at all... Without a moongel I like the sound of my floor tom but the 12" sounds crappy... What about pinstripes or maybe Ec1's??

I've used pinstripes before. they're pretty dead for my tastes, but they do what they're supposed to. If you like the way your floor sounds, it might just be a matter of tuning the 12" until you find out where the weird overtones you don't like are. it sounds like this might be a tuning issue.
Muffling should never be a substitute for solid tuning, but more a way to control overtones for recording. the drum should still sound solid before you muffle it.
remember, with moongels you can always cut them in half or thirds if you're just looking for a tiny bit of ring control.

moongels are awesome. I use them on the regular for recording in small rooms.

Ok so I take the tom off of the snare stand I had it on, and it sounded amazing... I put it back on, and I get that annoying ring again unless I have the moongel on it.. So once I get the double tom stand will this ring go away??

messed about with tuning your 12"??
i find that if you loosen one lug by about 1/2 key turn to others it loses a bit of ring. batter head i mean. tuning drums is a nightmare it really does take a good while for you to get the tuning you want. i spend nearly 2 days once tuning my drum kit lol but at moment the sound is great for the room im playing in. but say i take it somewhere else with a room with different acoustics it all sounds like poop! so more tunign is needed.
