What's the difference?

What's the difference between Evans genera dry and Evans genera hd dry?

the hd is two ply I believe. HD stands for heavy duty. I personally hate both heads they really are too dry in my opinion.

They are great for ringy metal snare drums. Great rim shots! Much too dead for wooden snares.

i use the genera hd and it just sounds perfect. it has a 1cm plastic ring inside which kills the overtones. i don't even use muffeling.
