Of course it all comes down to personal choice and for me nothing else compares to Paiste. I love the darker tones of the old Sound Creation line.

The Custom A Avedis I have I to say sounds great recorded. I do miss my 602's. If paiste still made them I would have bought them in a heart beat. The cost of new paiste blew me away. Especially for the one's that sound as good as the 602's are so expensive. If I had a good paying job I would have bought the paiste that cost 2g's for the set.

Well there is a reason Paiste's are so expensive! Wink

paiste all the way. i have a signature full crash 20 in, amazing
sound crazy when struck with a 2002 crash
also had some 2002 hats, love the sound, but i just found out that they were black labels and well, also found out what a black label was, so i dont use them anymore
but believe me, im savin up for another pair. i dont think i could use anything else

More selection, versatility in all styles. Plus they have better budget cymbals and price ranges.

I have always preferred paiste for consistent quality and tone. You know what they are going to sound like "out of the box".

i have a 20" rude crash ride that i use for heavier open parts of my band's songs. it contrasts well with my sabians. i can't wait to record with it.
