Its fuckin easy.
You hit the bass drum. The trigger sends a signal to the module, the module produces a sound sent out through a PA system. This is called sound.
If you think you can play at 230-260 bpm and higher and still have the strokes be audible as somewhere around 180 your an idiot.
Thats all it does.
Its like a mic on steroids.
And yes they do help you get better because you hear every flammed stroke, every slowed down, sped up, or inaccurate stroke you make on the bass or snare or toms or whatever.

quick question does axis make a trigger? i thought i heard on here they did and its like TOP O' THE LINE but i cant find it on their website or musicians friend.
Yes they do actually its quite revolutionary. Instead of mounting a sensor on a bass drum or 2 you have these little black boxs that attach to your pedals. They have a hammer you mount on the axle that strikes a surface when your beater hits the head. I have 2 of em hooked up to me double x lngbrd pedal and they work amazing. Not to much false triggering not to much screw ups or pain in the ass breaking down and whatnot.
You can see what they look like if you go show us ur kits forum and look for mine under the bands gear and my mapex m birch or something like that i guess.
But i love em and would solidly recommend them to anyone. Seem like a hardcore long-lasting product to.
