Post K Custom Dry Light Ride - anyone?
I’m intrigued about this cymbal. I’m looking for a thin ride with a dry and dull stick sound and a trashy short crash when shouldered. What you think about the KCDLR?

I have this ride, 20" of pure Zildjian genius!

I have to say I really love it for more trad jazz, it has a great dry ping and when shouldered is very dark!

I'm currently studying at DrumTech in London and my teacher also loves it.

If you wanta dry cymbal, with which you can be very articulate with sticking, this os a great cymbal!

I can post pics, but sound could be more difficult as I don't have a microphone at home Razz

Idk about the dry light ride, but I have tried a 24 inch K light ride..and thought it was absolutely superb, but I wanna save up for the new paiste blue bell ride.

I've been thinking about that one too, but - to me - the Dark Ride is more like a traditional crashride cymbal - a multi-applications instrument. I want something a little more "exotic" for certain applications. Also as you mentioned, the wash of the Dark Ride makes it very appealing as a crash cymbal – just like the A Sweet Ride – and that’s not dry at all.
