the only way you could possibly have a worse tom angle is if it was suspended upside down from the ceiling. but hey, thats pretty bad you might consider it.

lol why
Because you are not allowing your wrists and fingers to operate correctly and are setting yourself up for some serious health problems such as tendonitis.
I would cut that angle in half to about 45 degrees. Don't flatten it completely as it will feel completely foreign. Just ease into it.
You've got 2 years of bad habits to break. Start fixing that like right now.

No one said your playing was "bad". We are concerned about the DAMAGE you are going to bring on yourself by playing that way.
Really, go back and read where ANYONE said "you suck". You have about 200 years of collective experience telling you the same thing!!
You play good for as much time you have in on the instrument. You gave us a video to see your style, and we all say the same thing. We are only trying to help.
If you post a video you have to be open to people giving you advice, that's why you posted it right? No one has put your playing down or you personally. As far as playing goes your doing good, if I were you I would incorporate some different fills in there. It's very easy to do fills all high to low or left to right. I'm still trying to get out of doing that myself. But don't take stuff personally man, it's just drummers being drummers right?
P.S. Thanks Shogun

You know what? Fine. Have it like that. Go on, fuck up your wrists. After all they're not mine.
Let's hear what you have to offer him in bettering his playing.

Sean,
We talked about this. I just think and this goes for everyone. If you are going to put your videos up and ask for advice. You need to be open for everything that is said. Otherwise keep your Videos on YouTube.
We are all only trying to help.
Nothing against your playing. Just tyring to stop a problem before it starts.
The good thing is... Habits are not forever.
They will make you or break you. And they are your best friends or your worse enemies.
What will they be for you?
Heres a great habit. and for every drummer. We are the heartbeat of the band. BUY A METRONOME.
Sean,
Your tempo is pretty solid, but it does falter a tiny bit. I'll help ya out with the fills. But the Tempo is all you buddy.
You have a lot of heart for drumming, you just have to sick with it even when you feel like you aren't getting any where. Remember it will all be worth it later on.

Good job Sean, better than I was at 2 yrs. As far as the advise, remember we are all friends here. I'd rather have a friend tell me something that pissed me off, but helped me, than for them to say nothing at all.
