I need to get one badly. I tried one at the store. It would go perfectly with my ride bell.

The Meinl bells look comparable to the Zil Bells, but I haven't heard one. I'm a Saluda guy strictly now, and I plan on one of their Expressions Bells soon. However, I know a good cymbal when I hear it.

Just got a Zil-Bel today. Have not heard the Meinl bells. I know that Zil has a sustain that will kill. Peace!

I have one, an 8" Classics Powerfull Bell, it's a little more earthy and overtone-ish compared to a Zil Bell, which are clean as a whistle.

i prefer my radia cup chime over the zil-bel also...so much sweeter to my ears.

Hey Duba, are they as cutting as the zils? I got a stagg ice bell the other day from a local drum shop for like $40 and it's really nice and musical, just not cutting.

whats cool about the meinl bells is they sound unique. i got away from the zilbells cause they all sound the same and alot of different guys use them. drums to me is about expression, so find the sounds you like best personally. and yes, the powerfull bell is everybit as loud and cutting as the large zilbell. im starting to regret buying my 8in paiste cup chime.
