What are your thoughts about 2.3 and diecast hoops. Which of those two do you prefer and why?

I use diecast hoops on my Tamas. Compared to 2.3mm hoops, diecasts are easier to tune and provide a little more dry sound(seriously, not a big difference IMO)

my observation is that die-casts provide a better crack when it comes to playing rimshots and rimclicks

i like the die cast on toms they seem to tune easier and hold tuning better, however i prefer triple flanged on the snare, for some reason they just sound better to me on the snare
