Hi everyone,
I come here because I've concluded that most drummers in LA don't have a sense as to what it means to follow a meter and be fundamentally sound. I play in a band that has been in a long search for a drummer. We've tried people but have come to realize that versatility and an understanding of concepts that go beyond beating the hell out of your drums senselessly is something foreign to most drummers. I thought maybe I can try a place where people are actually training and learning concepts other hard rock, metal, emo, grindcore whatever, a place where people come to critically understand their instrument.
I am in a band called Regime Noir out of LA. My bassist and I are two musicians, yea with an indie/punk mentality but with a strong background in Jazz, Funk, Latin percussion. We hoped that there'd be someone on here who can jam with us and help get our band going. We just want to play with someone who confidently has knowledge in these genre's but can appreciate the looseness and intensity of early rock/punk. Check us out at

If anyone is interested let me know.
Thanks
