 Bass pedal muting
I live in an apartment and the bass pedals on my electric drums are to loud on the floor for the people below me. Any suggestions on materials you can use to eliminate the noise through the floor?

List of materials:
Rubber Tubing
Hacksaw
Cleaver
Ether
Hand Towel
Gloves
Mask
Big Dick
List of actions to take:
1. Sneak into the antagonists' apartment with said gloves and mask on.
2. Use Ether and Hand Towel to pacify the antagonists
3. Use rubber tubing as a binding mechanism to restrain antagonists, saving some rubber tubing for later
4. Smoke a bowl in front of them
5. Hack off antagonists' loved one's arm or leg and use the tubing as a turnicut. Make sure that antagonist is in plain view of the hacking.
6. Sever any sinew/marrow left on the appendages using the cleaver
7. Re-apply ether to antagonists' loved one as an anesthetic. Then fart in their face.
8. See step 4.
9. Repeat steps 1-8
10. If three cycles of 1-9 fails, kill the bitches for not being able to appreciate music
Hope this helps

I'd suggest buying www.hansenfutz.com Futz practice pedals. I play them in the night and noone notices. They can also be used to play percussion instruments and used with triggers.

You need to get a riser. This will separate the floor from the shock of the pedal. I recall seeing a very good one advertised in MD not so long ago. It's not that big, about 6" high.

This seems alittle harsh. Just a little.

I've had to use this method before... And with fantastic results! This is your best bet right here.

 Bass Pedal Muting
Try some squares from the company Auralex from there drum isolation floor pack called the hover deck. You sould be able to buy some of the squres seperatly. They elimates transfer of vibrations.

maybe not the best solution from a budgetary aspect, but if you can afford upgrading to an upright bass pad, it eliminates a LOT of the impact conducted thru the floor. Mesh head especially, but even an upright rubber pad makes a big difference.
