Billy Martin
Drummer for Medeski Martin & Wood (MMW). A SERIOUSLY underrated player. amazing drummer and percussionist. If you dont know who he is you owe it to yourself to check him out.

Billy Martin is a monster. I really like the way he uses the cowbells. I taped a live set about 8 years ago from a TV show hosted by David Byrne called 'Sessions at West 54th' or something. It was on a now defunct station called Trio. It was shortly after MMW had added DJ Logic. I still watch it every 3-4 months. They all pretty much blow my mind.

I haven't heard all of MMW's output, but my favorite CD with Billy Martin is John Scofield's "A Go Go" album. He plays some seriously funky grooves on that one!
