When used with a single- or double-ply batter, they offer a brighter tone while maintaining a full sustain.
I just started using these and they brought out the tones pretty well. For some reason I got heads for everything except my toms on my practice kit. Can’t wait to order those so I can hear the whole kit with all the other new heads I just bought from this site! Get these if you want more life in your kit!
