Ludwig’s steel shell snare drum is built on the format of their Supra-Phonic snares. It features an Evans G1 coated snare head and a chrome steel seamed shell with Ludwig’s exclusive center-beaded design.
I picked up one of these snares drums a few weeks ago at a local shop. What a deal! I’ve got it tuned about mid-range and it has a great crack with lots of body but not a lot of ring…just how i like it. i bought it as a second snare but i think i’ll be using it quite a bit. great value, highly recommended!
