I got this over the mike portnoys…why? cause these sound the same, like glass, crisp, and short, BUT, they can take a LOT more of a beating. The 8″ is sick! for jazzy sounds or pop, and your 10-12 for rock, either way, its a short, controlled, less china sounding and most of all, what a splash is supposed to sound like: GLASS!
