After using a similar style throne from Tama which I found uncomfortable, I traded it on this Pearl unit and all I can say is wow! The seat is incredibly supportive on the back and it is so sturdy and comfortable that I now forget about the chair and find myself better able to move around my kit. Best buy in a long time.
