These are great, especially when paired with the pintech plastic practice cymbals. They are quiet and have good response. They are also quiet enough to be played in the middle of the night, even with people sleeping one room over. I used them on my pearl 6-piece with four cymbals and the hi-hat. The only problem I had was when doing a silent practice with my band, the bass and snare werent loud enough, so I just mic’d them with 2 $10 Nady SP-4C’s, and that is great. But for just practicing on your own, you can’t beat these.
