I was going to use it as a 2nd set and leave my Tama Rockstar at home and this one at the practice place. Well I like the Pulse better, even with the stock heads. Maybe it’s just a different sound coming from different drums. I really think the isolation type toms are great. It was a little tough getting the bass head installed but other than that had it up and tuned in no time. Now one should replace the snare head because the coating comes off on the stix and gets all over everything.Watch out the bass drum sounds fantastic with a little dampning.
