The most widely used drumheads in the world. The ones all others are judged by. Medium thickness. The Weather King Ambassador heads are the reigning champs for studio recording.
The coated ambassadors are great on the snare, very clear sound. I also use them on the toms, the sound is natural, open, really wonderful. They are perfect for jazz, blues and ’60s rock. I suggest emperors if you play heavy metal, punk rock and in general if you are a heavy hitter. They are not as durable as double-ply heads, but they are perfect, if you are looking for a natural, vintage sound.
