Fast response, with sufficient metal content for full, bright, and explosive sounds.
I own the 18″ and it opens up completely with just a glance or a solid hit. The decay is rich in color from dark to bright, a little darker and longer in duration than the aax studio complementing it well. Very nice sounding large bell. Great for low to mid volume playing, studio or miked in isolation shield. Never any excessive ringing or unwanted gongy overtones. I love this cymbal.
