I bought this product as a favor to my housemates and neighbors, which I suppose is the only reason any drummer would buy such a product. I was naturally upset that I had to buy them, but once I played on them they’re not too bad. It seems like a very durable product. The tone does come through pretty well on the bass and snare. The toms are almost completely muffled out save for the sound of the stick hitting the pad. Cymbals sound like they would if you put a towel over them (terrible). The Hi-Hat sounds almost the same as it would without a dampener at all, but I guess it is a little quieter. All in all, if you REALLY need to quiet your playing this is a good product, and buying in the pack rather than separate does save you some money.
