I haven't seen it, but I'm really not sure I want to. I think the potential for killer special effects is cool, but the idea that it's Blair Witch Project-like with the camcorder point of view turns me off a bit.
I think the marketing of the film prior to its release was brilliant.
I think the name of the film is just weak weak weak. It just doesn't SOUND like a monster movie. Maybe there's some deeper philosophical meaning there, but that would be even more bizarre because it's still a monster movie.
I'm sure it will be streaming illegally online somewhere before the weekend's over.

what doesnt stream illegally? haha
well the shaky cam as they call it actually makes the movie
if it was filmed using a regualr movie camera, it would be good at all
it adds the suspence and makes you think youre there

You would think it's annoying with the "Blair-Witch Project" shooting style. I didn't think it was at all. It was definetly the most intense movie I've seen in my life.
I will see this movie again, and again until my eyes bleed.
No, I didn't get paid to say that..

It just looks like a godzilla remake.

It was named after a street by the director's house as a code title, then they just kept it.
I too am a bit turned off by paying $10 to see a movie filmed with a camcorder, I think I'll wait for the DVD and go see There Will Be Blood instead

i remember seeing a movie in the previews for there will be blood, but forget what its about
it only has the feeling of it being a camcorder, the picture is perfect

I just saw it tonight. I thought it was a really good movie. I wanna tell you guys about it, but it might ruin it. The whole cam corder thing worked to its benefit becasue of the angles and stuff. The sounds were really good too. Id see it again.

i saw with the lady friend couple days ago, it was really good except it kinda looked like the ppl said hey lets shoot an entire movie through the view point of a guy carrying a video camera and then they just through some random stuff together, it lacked a story line altogether almost, but i cant say i didnt enjoy it

 saw it friday
it took some time to sink in, it is actually a good flick, it is unlike any movie i have ever seen (including blair witch) the movie is NOT a godzilla re-make. it's not really about the monster as much as it's about the group of people stuck in this situatuation. if you go see it, sit as far back as you can, up close will make you sick. the monster is definitly unique!
