any imput on these hats?

jamie told maybe a earthworks or mist x rock ride for my style of playing.
which is punk, rock, ska.
but i want to know if these rides are crashable.
i did hear about a 20" Earthworks PowerBell ride.
i want a nice ping but some wash and a overpowering bell.
for a crash i want it to cut through but it has to be verstile.
i was looking more something thats dark but still has the power to open up as a bright cymbal.
so for this jamie reccomded an 18" Ion Crash.
also i would like to know a ball-park guess of how much these cymbals will cost.

If you ask me, you can't go wrong with the Mist-X series. It seems to be good for all-around playing (I have a 20" Mist-X ride)

I'm actually looking at buying a pair of hats almost exactly like that...the only difference is that the bottom is medium heavy and vented. I may have to watch that auction though.

I can't remember the hats, but the diamond top with give warmth, complexity and a nice open sound. The black Mist bottom (which that is a prototype Emperor's Edition, is a heavy dryer type sound. This is going to give you power, yet nice control. The Diamond/black mist bottom is a very popular model. I assume that set was custom made for someone so the sound should be 'juiced' to get a sound that you won't find in a music store. This is just an assumption.

Actually, if you can get the set for under $200.00, you would be getting a steal from anything you could find in a store.

I highly recommend that set, but again, I don't know exactly how that set sounds - just how that set probably sounds.
