Agreed! Practice is the key. It's not gonna just happen. Try practicing rudiments with your bass pedals.

just practise really, start by playing 16th notes with a click at a slow tempo like 60-70bpm, then every 1-2 minutes move it up by 3-5 bpm, i found this works very well, i used to do this everytime i practised, and within a month i could tell the difference. you will only get out of this exercise what you put into it, if you want to go fast you will not progress stopping at 140 bpm cause you're bored, stick it out, it's worth it in the end. while it's in the slow tempo's i found this helped with the control of my feet aswell.
also, riding a bike helped me with stamina.

practice as fast as you can play while still keeping it 100% even. do it for 2 minutes. if you start to mess up go back and do it slower. make sure you go through the whole 2 minutes without flamming or messing up. do this EVERY DAY. if your feet arent 100% improved within a month I will give you my axis pedals

 it's also in the pedal!
hey if you have a double pedal under $150.00 then you can't go Dave Lombardo fast, just only Lars Ulrich fast. So get an Iron Cobra, or dw9000, yamaha flying dragon, or axis longboards. They should do the job done.

you realy have to work on the technique at a slow pace. there is no point going guns blazing trying to go fast u have to put ur metronome real slow and sit it out and gradual build it up. it takes time and if u wanna keep it fast u have to keep practicing it.
for the guy above me. its not about what brand your pedal is, if ur a good drummer u would be able to ajust to different circomstances. and if u have good technique u can use whatever pedal u want however you want.

yeah defintally start out slow, i made the mistake of learning fast double bass first and not ever really building control so i had to go back and pretty much relearn it from the slow tempos up.
