Post double kick peddle
i have a dixon 711DB double kicker and it's not top of the line and it doesnt let me go as fast as i can go...
i asked some of my mates who are also drummers on what they think 1 said go for the pearl eliminator and the other said go for the dw9000
but they dnt really use a double kick peddle. just really wanting to know of a sweet double kick peddle that's good for mostly metal music.

A certain brand or model of kick drum pedal is not going to make you faster. The way you have yours set up will play a part in your foot speed but really, speed is in your mind and also in your muscle development.

I would start with making sure that both sides of the pedal are even feeling, have a spring tension that allows them to return to a "resting" position, and if you can adjust the "throw" (the distance the beaters sit from the head) back a little more than normal you will stand a better chance of developing faster feet.

Some of the most common mistakes I see people making with their feet are the aforementioned pedal problems, plus they play "flat-footed" as in relying on the ankles. It's all about getting up on the balls of your feet and using the weight of your legs in conjunction with your ankles.

If someone says that "this pedal or that pedal will make you faster" they are full of shit.

I'd advise against the DW pedal as they are much prone to breaking(even though i loves them Embarassed )

But the Pearl Eliminator should be right up your alley as they are some of the most customizable pedals out there and wont kill your wallet if your on a budget!

you might want to check out the direct drive flying dragons from yamaha they are very similer to Axis pedals but for a lot less also the tama iron cobras are really great and very user friendly they adjust to just about any drummer. as someone already stated a pedal will no make you go faster set up will but a better pedal makes for easyer setup in a lot of cases

The quality of the pedals that you use are not necessarily going to make you faster. If you want to play faster then do excercises with the DB pedal. I recommend doing rudiments with your pedals just like you would with your hands. This helped me alot. As far as what kind of pedal to use.... there are alot of good ones out there. I would go to a music store and try a few different ones and see which fits you.
