manufacturing defect possibly???
i just sent it back and they said they would replae it
lets hope this time it works

not a manufacturer's defect from the sounds of it. you can manually set it back to 0, which i had to do after i used mine for the first time. when it comes from the factory, i don't think they tighten that part all the way.
i guess it doesn't matter anyway, since you sent it back before asking for help.
