work on your grip and make sure youre using proper technique.

I use pro-mark stick rapp. It works really good. I would get slippage because I have dry skin and so my hands are dry. When they would start to slip, I would grip harder and that would hurt my hands. Ever since I started using the stick rapp, my problem has been solved. Don't always attribute stick slippage to poor technique!

There are lots of great products out there. Rob uses that Stick Rapp stuff, I personally use Zildjian drum gloves with an application of Gator Grip. (It's a sports adhesive that comes in a roll-on bottle, available at any sporting goods store for about 5 bucks.) Some folks use hockey stick or baseball bat tape. Just experiment and see what's out there, what you can afford, and what works best for you.

good idea. i also sand mine down with some medium grit sandpaper just to get the poly finish off. that helped a lot.

You've probably already done this (and if you have, sorry for wasting your time), but I'd suggest trying different sized sticks. Perhaps the sticks you're using are too small or big (as either situation could cause you to throw your sticks across the room/otherwise lose them).

i know Zildjian makes a stick wax and it works pretty well for the purpose of keeping your sticks from slipping, but i personally don't like the feeling of it

You could try dips, yeah...
Or those weird Vater Rikki Rockett sticks.
Never used them myself, but I'm looking around for a pair.
No luck yet. XD

i break way to many stiocks to waste my money on grip tape but, i used to have that problem all you need to do is make sure that you are using the correct stick for your liking as well as you are using the correct grip
