Holy video volume, Batman!

Do you play another instrument and/or practice to a click? Your timing is really good for five months. What book are you using and how are you going through it? Example, lesson by lesson until you get them right, flipping through and picking a page, just playing straight through, etc.?

I think you're probably at a point where you should start playing along with songs that have simple grooves, like most of Metallica's black album...just as one example.

Hey not bad man, I'll tell you some good places to find lessons online. I would mention youtube but i think you found that, check out www.vicfirth.com they have some real useful info there also, look for rudiments. But hell there's a ton of info out there, if you can afford it a teacher is the best way to go. That said, I dig it man keep it up.

I am so legitimately jealous of people with natural timing. Don't do what most of those guys do and screw your natural talent off. Hit the Education Center at VicFirth.com like Cableman suggested, but also check out Dom Famularo's lessons. He breaks down grip and a fair amount of drum theory. And here's a link to Mike Johnston's YouTube lessons; http://youtube.com/user/drumteacher76. Oh yeah, and natural timing or not...work with the click. It takes time to learn how to work with it instead of against it.
