 Drumtattoo
Heey everyone,
I really would like to get tattoo that involves drumming. But I don't want like drumsticks on my back or something. Wich is cool if you have that, but it's just not really my thing.
I want to get an image of what drumming means for me, what I feel when i'm playing drums. It's all of these emotions wich I can't seem to capture in a cool tattoopicture.
So I was curious how you would paint the picture of drumming, in your own experience. Or if you have a cool drumming tattoo, I would like to see it.
Maybe that could help me further in developing the right (drumming)tattoo for me.
Thanks!

As a guy with many tat's i would suggest writting down, not drawing, your ideas and finding yourself a good tattoo artist to who can draw them for you to give you something to look at. Don't rush into the first thing you see. Make sure it's what you want because it's there for good. So let them do what they do best and design something you like that expresses how you feel and will be proud of. Good luck!

Thanks for your answer dude! I appreciate it. I'm walking around with this idea for a few years now, and I really want something that blows away my own mind. But I think you're right leaving the drawing part to someone who does it best. I'll try and write it down too.
Thanks!!

If you look to the left side photo, you can see my drum tattoo. It's a sword stuck through a drum. It was my first tattoo, it's now incorporated into my sleeve.

That's a pretty sick tattoo you got there dude!! Cool that your first one was about drumming!!
I thought about having a "seethrough" on the backside of my lowerleg. One where you would see some sort of mechanical pump or spring wich would suggest that it a mechanical thing that drives my bassdrum. But such a thing would cost me pretty big. That doesn't really matter, but maybe I'd have to let a tattoo artist draw something like that to get a good picture.

I have the word "DRUM" tattooed in Japanese on my arm. I verified that it did say drum before I had it done.

That sleeve is sick. I'm really digging the use of off beat colors and that swirl effect you've got going on your elbow area. I'm in the process of sleeving my left arm (so far Ive got from my hand to my elbow covered as well as the inside of my left bicep) and I have something some what similar to the swirl look near my elbow, but it's more bio-mechanic looking. I think within the next month or so I going to throw a cartoonish looking snare drum behind my left or right ear.
