Evans and Remo combos

Hey, I was wondering if anybody has tried Evans batter heads with Remo resonance heads. If so, what does it sound like?

Don't know about Evans, but I left the stock Remo reso head on my kick and put an Aquarian Superkick II on the batter. It sounds great to me. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I read that the reso head on a kick doesn't have the same effect on the sound like they do on toms and/or a snare.
