i was told this for a rock/alternative/metal play style:

G2/EC2 Clear for tom batters

G1 clear for tom reso's

ec reverse dot for snare batter

hazy 300 for snare reso

emad bass batter and emad bass reso,

do these sound right?

is the G2 better than the EC2?

just really want to get the"george of the jungle" sound out of my toms with more a of a rock feel btw i have 12,13,16 toms

In my opinion the EC2 is better than the G2. It has a tone-control ring around the head which dampens overtones which should help you get the "George of the Jungle" sound.
