So I finally got my 5000. I've been using a dw7002 for a few years and it's served me well but it's just time to upgrade. I brought it home and got it out of the box and right away, I knew my money was well spent. I adjusted the springs and beater placement a bit (it was almost spot on right out of the box) and I was ready to go. It's incredibly easy to do super fast double bass. I don't have to put forth nearly as much effort as I did with the 7000. I'll I can say is that I'm a big fan
