Post Heads with good "bounce"
I'm using Remo fiberskyns right now. But I need a set of heads that have a better bounce quality. I can't really play as fast on the fiberskyns as I would like. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you.

thanks garrett,
kids these days are trying to play as fast as they can without
learning basics first..
and then wonder why they can't Rolling Eyes

practice man, seriously...
it sucks kind of, but get a pad
and just do single strokes while you're watching tv..
you'll see fast improvement

go to youtube
type in "derek roddy exercises"
and watch the videos
and do the stuff he tells you

yeah too right...

i swear the "bounce" in drums is to do with the depth.e.g shallower depth = more bounce

The tighter the head the better the sticks bounce. On a high tension snare like a marching snare the sticks bounce a lot more than on a normal snare.

But what everyone else said
Practicing makes you better not the bounce of the drum

The answer is, there is no specific head that will make your sticks bounce more...other than really tight mesh heads. Head tension and stick control are what will determine how much rebound you get off of a head.

I find evans heads to have a softer feel than any other head. I don't think it has to do with bounce but they feel pretty good.
