Help my buy a kit for my 50th birthday
Next month I'll be 50. My wife said I could spend $1000 on a set of drums (I have a few more $$$ to add). I need some suggestions.
Thanks.

I just pulled the trigger on a Tama Superstar SL-5 Custom in Scarlet Fade complete drum set. Also bought a set of Zildjian A Custom cymbals with a free 18' Fast Crash. Also got a set of Remo heads, batter and resonant. Also a Drumdial Drum Tuner, various drumsticks and other small goodies.
I'll post picks when it all gets here and is set up.
Thanks for all your help.

I agree with the person that said PDP I believe it's the best value for your money.I have a PDP LX kit and paid right at $900 for a 6 piece.I am sure there are alot of other kits out there that like tama and the yamaha stage custom.Good luck with your decision.Let us know what you get.
