I don't actually own the chad smith, but I play on one regularly seeing as there's one on the kit at my guitarist's house. It has a nice tone, with just the right amount of ring. It has good attack - a nice pop, but I'd be careful when attempting rimshots - the first time I did it, I flinched...

Very good snare.

yeah all i hear is good things about it. i think its very versatile too- you can get any sound out of it. im gettin one of dem snares this week along with a sabian hh dry raw bell ride... best birthday ever =D
