I just got the Pork Pie, pie light in amber.
I was going to order the ludwig cs custom elite amber 6.5 which is a birch, that was at sam ash, then i went to guitar center and was looking around, i saw this snare and was like wow thats a nice color to match my set, i grabed some sticks and went over to it.
Pop, crack, i was hooked.
Ive got it set up just to the left of the high hat and you hit this thing and it comands you to listen to it.
I put ambasdor hazy on the bottom and pinstrip clear on the batter.
My 5.5x14 ludwig is still my main snare, but after practice today im thinking on putting it right in my lap.
The sound is different, its more a pop, crack and very loud when you hit it hard,and the ludwig is alittle softer and more sound from the snares. I dont have it cranked up tight , more of a med on the batter and this thing is bad to the bone.
It retails for 650 and found it on the web for 199, and guitar center matched the price.

If anyone is looking for a second snare i highly recomend this pie.
