nice kit, man. the toms are really small compared to the kick. what are the dimensions?

its an M birch. i think hes got 8", 10" ,12" over a 22" kick. it used to have another floor tom. is that seriously a 12" floor tom? maybe a 13". it looks smaller than your snare which i'm guessing is 14". thats ur ddrum snare right

that kit looks like it wants to have a 20" kick. but you never get enough low end from a 20"

I'm thinking custom 18x18" twin kicks for my dream set-up.

Dont do it. go at least 20". unless you ALWAYS trigger and dont rely on your bass drum to have a big sound. a 20" is hard enough to get a big sound out of. i think 18's gonna make you wanna cry. I'm accually entertaining the idea of getting a second bass drum for my ecx

Hm.. I shell keep this in mind. Personally, I think you should hit up a second bass on the ECX, it would totally perfect the set.

I realy want to. i use one bass drum on my renowm maple because its my giging set. but my pearl doesnt leave the house. so it can be as extensive as i like. i'm also thinking about a 16" floor tom to round out my low end. and the best part is heads are no longer an issue.

Well, I would actually prefer the double-bass set-up on the set you'd play out with. I think double bass sets look so badass, I've only played 1 once and I couldn't stand the 24" bassdrums but I'm thinking 2 20"'s or the 2 18"s if i think opposite what you say haha.

With proper tuning you may be fine. My only warning is i have never once in my life heard an 18" bass drum that produced enough low end punch.

Small rack toms are sweet. I was thinking about doing that. I'll stick with my 14 inch floor tom though.
