 I'M IN A PICCOLO
I have a 13" maple Piccolo snare.
I have put a deposit down on a new Pearl Vision kit, which I am picking up next week. The Vision comes with the Pearl Sensitone snare.
I really like my Piccolo snare and would like to keep it as part of my new kit. The Sensitone is worth $200, so I was thinking about selling it.
What are your opinions? Keep or sell the Sensitone?

Keep it as a backup snare. There's nothing worse than breaking a snare head during a gig and not being able to fix it or taking the time out of your set to replace it.

That's why I own a dozen! I usually take at least three to a gig, and one night, the drum head fairies were angry at me, and I needed all three.

What those guys said....
But seriously, the Sensitone is not a bad drum at all. If anything, you may find the different voice inspiring on some level.

Is the sensitone metal? If so keep both. Its good to have a choice of snare for different rooms/stages/studio's. A snare that sounds great today can sound dog the next just because where your playing. Also you may want to hold one snare at high tuning and the other low.

Yeah, it's a metal snare.

Use it as a backup snare for gigs or a side snare during practice!

It's a great snare, keep it, it's hard to have too many good sounding snare drums!
