Post i'm seriously obsessed with big cymbals.
since i use a 2 cymbal set up, it just looks SO good (to me) to have 2 big cymbals set up in a flat way. i know, i know, it's all personal preference.

you can see the cymbals i'm using now in my sig, the left crash is a 20" zildjian avedis medium ride, and the right crash is a 20" zidjian z custom projection crash.

i'm currently saving up to get one of these:
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

a meinl byzance traditional 22" heavy ride, which i know from playing a couple, will definitley last for a while, which is good, because i'm a really heavy hitter.

so what are your opinions on big cymbals? looks, sound, whatever.

yeah i only like cymbals 18" or bigger because you get more of a powerful sound than a 16" or 14" cymbal.

im addicted to 16" cymbals, nothing like that sharp tone cutting right through the mix, currently i have a 16" ZXT and a 16" A Custom with plans of another 16" and a 20" ride by christmas for a present to myself.....Saluda looks like a fine choice.

I agree with that last statement.

Don't forget, if you have any cymbals you dont like, you can trade them in for credit for some Saludas.

yeah. i wish i had enough money to have a seperate kit at home and then one that i use for shows, because i would definitely use way more cymbals for just drumming for myself. as far as touring with my band goes, 2 cymbals is definitely all i need.

yeah, i really want to get at least one saluda, i love that they'll customize them for you. i'd LOVE a 24 inch ride that i can crash on, but is thick enough to last me a good while. i'm definitely going to email them soon. =]
