i have a kit that i actully bought just the mic holder for internal kick mics ( it was like 18 bucks ) and took a mic cord and cut it to pass it through the vent and then cut it to the right length so it would reach the mic and not have any extra slack on the outside of the kit. i wrapped electrical tape around the metal part of the mic just to prevent the metal from scratching the finish. just make sure when you put the mic back together you have the right color wire in the right spot. with the exception of the mic, the whole setup cost like 30 bucks
