Jason Bittner Clinic/Master Class at the Drum Road Trip
Yes folks,
You read that correctly...
This all started out as Bong shooting his mouth off about a little gathering for DML members and now it has turned into an international event with Top name talent performing and doing clinics.
On Saturday June 28 Jason Bittner will be doing a Clinic/Master class at the event, and that evening we have the Regi Hendrix concert with Greg Howe as our special guest!
This event is going to be off the hook!
On the 29th we get casual and hang out with some more intimate clinics. It's going to be a blast!
So, here's the question to all of you regulars on DML....
What's it gonna take to get you to come to the event? If you're not planning on being there, why not?
Let's make this HAPPEN!

I know others can make it to this. I don't think some of the people here understand how big this is. If there is even a glimmer of hope you guys can make it to this event I would. I would beg, borrow, and plead to get here. Zen and Bong are putting on a huge party, and with the talent that's going to be there, this is not only your chance to meet them, but to play with them. You don't get opportunities like this EVER!

See, here's the thing...
I know there are a lot of young folks on this forum. I also think that a lot of you are saying you can't make it, because you don't have the ability to drive or fly on your own.
I'd like to suggest an alternative for those of you that fit into this category!
Ask your parents if they would entertain the thought of bringing you to this event. Let them know that this is a rare opportunity for you to pursue something that is important to you. Your parent or parents are certainly allowed to be our guests at this event.
I think you will find that many of your parents would be willing to support you in this if at all possible. If you're like most young people that are playing the drums, your parents have already made a significant investment in your drumming endeavors, and they would probably be willing to increase that investment towards an educational pursuit such as this one.
So please, take a moment and ask your folks if they would be willing to support you in this.
This is not going to be a drunken party, even though many people have mentioned blowing off some steam. That's not the point of this event. This is about drummers getting together to advance their skills, and networking opportunities.
I think your folks would be happy to help!

I'm still mulling it around. My wife has insisted that I go so there's still the possibility.

+1 man I really would like you to come out too. All these guys you've worked with, including me. It'll be good for you.

That's a bummer, and I'm not going to make light of your condition. All I can say is, we're all friends here and we will ALL do everything possible to make this a great experience for you! If things get rough, I'll make sure there's a place you can escape to, and we'll have a plan in place to get you to it quickly in the event you feel the need.
If you cannot make it, we'll understand, but realize we're willing to work with you to make the most of this. You tell us what you need, we'll make every effort to make it happen!
