 Just Got Some Ahead Sticks
And I gotta tell you, I love them.
They dont feel weird in my hands at all, and their seems to be no extra weight to me (but that's jsut my feel).
I wonder how long they're going to last.

You'll be back on wood, soon enough.

I recently bought Ahead sticks also. The store ran out of Promark 5A's so I decided to get these bad boys. The change in weight between the two sticks made me go "ugh". But I'm finally getting used to them and they are great practice sticks. Nothing more than that though.

nope, according to the box they, "will not damage cymbals, and will actually keep them cleaner than wood sticks."

I love mine, they're great! Make sure to replace the sleeves when they start to wear, if you work through the plastic then you'll get wear on the metal and they will break. But I've had mine since '05 with no breaks whatsoever. Only been through a couple pairs of covers, too. Much cheaper in the long run than buying wood sticks every couple weeks/months.
They're actually a lot lighter than the Vic Firth Rock sticks I was playing before, good swing, I love 'em.

agreed, and these things can also last pretty long if played with properly and if u replace the sleeves every once and a while
