Right for sometime ive been looking into getting a E kit mainly for purpose of playing later on in the evening without waking up whining little kids etc and causing complaints etc. Also i wish to record and generally yes im looking for something fun, reliable, realistic and fun again to play. Now tomorrow evening a guy is coming round to show me his td8 roland kit which he is selling for 700 ( What do you make of the price?) Ive heard nothing but good things bout td8's however my drum teacher seems to think it might be a bit much in the way of standard and i could get something like a yamaha dtxplorer and save 200 quid or so and still be able to use it for what i want. I've been having lessons for about 20months or so now and i really want to increase my practice each day and figured E kit would be the best way. Its just 700 pounds is alot of money and i want to make sure. It seems like a good kit but i jsut want to maybe what your inputs are and weather or not you agree with my drum teacher?
Another friend suggested USB drum kits but after youtubing and hearing the sound quality i didnt like the idea of it. Has anyone tried or have a Go anyway DW practice pad kit?
Cheers
Simon
